We've designed a schedule that will assure you receive a rich mix of substantial guidance in writing, experience in yoga as muse for authentic writing, conviviality with the community we create, and solitude.

Tues., March 14  

6:30-9 pm: Yoga as Muse Intro/Concentration:The Doorway to Writing into Truth

Weds., March 15

7-8:30 am: Breakfast (provided)

9:00-noon: Yoga as Muse: The Story’s Foundational Layer

Noon-1 pm: Lunch (provided)

1-3 pm: Free time to write and roam

3-5:00 pm: Writing Workshop: Scene, Detail, Imagery

Thurs., March 16

 7-8:30 am: Breakfast (provided)

9:00-12:00: Yoga as Muse:The Tragic-Comedic Layer

 Noon-1 pm: Lunch (provided) 

1-3 pm: Free time to write & roam

3-5:00 pm: Writing Workshop: Narrator-Protagonist-Writer Triangle

Fri., March 17

7-8:30 am: Breakfast (provided)

9:00-12:00: Yoga as Muse: The Mythic Layer

Noon-1 pm: Lunch (provided)

1-3 pm: Free time to write and roam

3-5:00 pm: Incubation/Writer Wonder Walks

Sat., March 18

9:00-12:00: Yoga as Muse: Writing with Compassion & Truth

3-5:30 pm: Writing Workshop: Re-visioning

9:30-11:30: Returning Home/Closing Words

 

 
A creative writing teacher for eighteen years, JEFF DAVIS is author of The Journey from the Center to the Page: Yoga Philosophies and Practices as Muse for Authentic Writing (Penguin 2004) and the poetry collection City Reservoir (1999). He works as Managing Editor for Wildlife 
   Watch Binocular, and his articles and essays have appeared in publications such as Enlightened Practice,
   Conscious Choice, and Sulphur River Literary Review. He teaches  writing at Marist College and teaches creative writing workshops at the University of New Mexico’s Taos Summer Writers Conference, the Skyros Centre in Greece, the Block Island Poetry Project, and elsewhere.
 

DISCOUNTS

Students 60 or older, full-time students, and returning writers receive a 10% discount.

Sign up for any three series and receive an additional 10% discount.
